Course Outline
This course is for people who require the skills and knowledge to undertake the duties of a crane supervisor
During this course, you will gain knowledge and understanding of:
- Taking responsibility
- Safe systems of work including method statements
- Legislation, regulations and Codes of Practice relating to lifting duties
- Crane stability, duty charts and safety devices
- Crane documentation
- The different types of cranes and the associated terminology
- The role of a crane supervisor
- Observing British Standard 7121
- Crane appreciation
- The role of the appointed person
- How to prepare an area with exclusion zones
From the completion of this course, you will receive a CPCS Trained Operator Card (red card) and a CITB National Construction College certificate
