CPCS – Slinger Signaller – All Duties (A40A)

The Sheffield College is proud to have partnered with Van-Elle Ltd to deliver first-class construction services training courses for businesses and individuals.

Course Outline

This course is for people who need the skills and knowledge relevant to the operational and safety requirements applicable to slinging and signalling any type of crane.

 

During this course, you will gain knowledge and understanding of:

  • Identification marks, test certification and thorough examination documentation
  • Being able to identify load weights and centres of gravity
  • The characteristics of lifting accessories, including the effects of angle and attaching methods
  • The selecting of lifting accessories, including uniform load method
  • Following method statements and other instructions including preparing the work area
  • How to sling various loads, balanced, unbalanced and loose
  • How to deliver signals of the appliance operator, using different forms of communication
  • How to lift and place various loads accurately, including test lifts to and from confined and blind areas
  • Keeping within safe working parameters

 

From the completion of this course, you will receive a CPCS Trained Operator Card (red card) and a CITB National Construction College certificate.

Learning will take place over 4 days.
