Course outline
Lean Principles are essential in today’s business world, they’re used to standardise procedures to reduce waste - for instance, materials, time, manpower, space and many other aspects within an organisation.
This introductory course aims to provide delegates with a good understanding of Lean Principles and how waste reduction will improve business performance. This short course is suitable for all levels from trainees to senior management.
At the end of this session delegates will be able to:
- Explain Lean Principles and the benefits of applying these to the business
- Understand the 7 main wastes and how to reduce them
- Run a simulated factory and identify measures that indicate its performance
- Explain and demonstrate the massive benefits gained by the implementation of Lean

This 1-day course comprises of the following key themes within Lean Principles:
- The evolution stages of Lean
- The principles and process to implement Lean
- The wastes that occur within a business
- Factory simulation
- Visual Management
- Workplace Organisation (5S)
- Key Performance Measures (Quality, Cost and Delivery)
- Tools for Process Mapping (Flow Process and Value Stream)
Delivery mode
This course is designed to be delivered as a 1-day, intensive programme, ideal for fitting into your busy work schedule.
Training can be delivered at times and locations to suit your business, tailored to meet your organisation’s needs and delivered in bite-sized (half-day) sessions if required.
Class size
We are able to accept individuals or deliver training to a group of your employees. Suggested class sizes for group bookings are between 8-10 people.

Prices start from £1100 per cohort.
