NPORS – Forward Tipping Mini Dumper (N139)
The Sheffield College is proud to have partnered with Van-Elle Ltd to deliver first-class construction services training courses for businesses and individuals.
Course Outline
This course is for people who require the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely operate and correctly maintain a Mini Dumper.
During this course, you will gain knowledge and understanding of:
- Having a basic understanding of the industry, your responsibilities as an operator and the dangers of working in the industry
- Having a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the machine that needs to be used
- Locating and identifying the major components of the machine and be able to explain their functions
- Conducting all pre-operational checks in accordance with the manufacturer’s and their legislative requirements
- Identifying and maintaining PPE that is appropriate for forward tipping mini dumper use
- Conducting all necessary safety checks at the work area
- How to prepare the forward tipping mini dumper for use, operating it safely and efficiently
- Setting attachments correctly for operation
- Environmental considerations
- Storage and transport of the forward tipping mini dumper and it’s implements and attachments
- Carrying out all end of shift and shut down procedures
For entrants that wish to apply for the NPORS Traditional Card, there is no requirement to do an NVQ qualification. If the CSCS Tested Logo is required on the card, entrants must ensure they have attended and passed the CITB Operatives Health, Safety and Environment Test within the last 2 years. AN NVQ must be completed within the next 2 years.
