Course Outline
This course is for all those responsible for operating road gritting machines and snow clearing machinery.
This course will provide candidates with:
- Current legislation regarding winter services
- The hazards and necessary precautions
- Safe systems of work
- How emergencies arise and following emergency arrangements
- Demonstrations and practical exercises
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Maintenance, cleaning and storage
- Preparation of plant, machinery, equipment or vehicles
On successful completion of this course, you will receive a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Winter Services
